When people hear “hire a bartender,” they often assume the bartender brings the alcohol. In Florida, most private event bartending works the opposite way, and understanding it can save you a lot of money.
What dry-hire means
Dry-hire, or BYOB bartending, means you supply the alcohol and the bartending company supplies everything else: the skill, the mixers, the garnishes, the tools, and the service. You are hiring the labor and the setup, not a liquor markup.
Why it saves you money
When a venue or a full-service bar supplies the alcohol, you pay their markup on every bottle and every pour. When you buy your own, you pay retail once and keep whatever is left over. For a typical event that difference is real money, and you stay in control of exactly what is served.
What you buy, what we bring
You buy the spirits, beer, and wine based on a supply list we build with you around your menu and headcount. We bring the mixers, juices, garnishes, ice tools, and the full bar setup. You are never guessing - the list tells you exactly what to get.
The legal piece
Dry-hire is also the clean way to do this in Florida. We do not sell, furnish, or provide alcohol, which is why no liquor license is required for the service. We are insured, with general liability and liquor liability coverage, and our lead bartender is certified through the Florida Bartending School in West Palm Beach.
That is the whole model: you own the bottles, we run the bar.
